Junior Program Manager

Adecco is currently assisting a local client who is one of the Worlds Largest Search Engine in their search to fill a Junior Program Manager Role in Mountain View. As a Junior Program Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple professional skills content areas and their associated learning offerings. Responsibilities will vary per content area, but may include managing logistics behind running live courses, moving content to online formats, enabling employees to teach courses on their own, running learning related events, etc! Responsibilities for this Junior Program Manager role:

-Responsible for all logistics and operations (scheduling, facilitator assignments, reporting) for multiple training programs, and supporting Senior Program Managers to ensure programs run smoothly
-Assume program management responsibilities (capacity planning, facilitator resource planning, and budgeting) for several programs, as determined by the team leads.
-Provide on-site coordination support for select programs and events as needed (e.g. off-site events, multi-day courses, etc).
-Manage rosters of attendees/ wait lists for all programs and maintain and update registration information and attendance records.
-Coordination of invoicing including tracking submission and payments -
including creating POs, managing PO and accruals process, and logging ad hoc budget approval requests.
-Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the programs you are supporting, with the ability to communicate effectively to attendees and stakeholders about program details.
-Continuously evaluate existing operations processes for efficiency gains, identify areas for improvement, and proactively suggest implementation strategies (e.g. streamlined scheduling process, simplified budgeting
process, etc).
-Work with Senior Program Managers, as well as instructional design support, to move live content to more accessible, online formats.
-Create self-sufficient processes and resources to allow Google employees to teach courses on various topics with little to no involvement from the central L&D team.

Requirements:

- BA/BS degree with a strong academic record (preferred, or equitable work experience)
- Prior experience in administration, event organization, or training coordinator role preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (with examples) and cross cultural sensitivity
- Advanced organizational skills (e.g. prioritizing workload, effective time management, etc).
-Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented (e.g. accurate budget management, etc).
- Ability to multitask effectively and adapt quickly (e.g. adjusting course schedules with little notice).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
- Ability to effectively partner with and influence others to get things done.
- Proficiency in Google Apps (e.g. Gmail, Docs)
-Experience managing learning program strategies (preferred)

Work with cell leads and value stream support to resolve process issues when

Document non-conformances
Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S procedures

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Ability to work under general supervision
2 year technical degree in a related field (Mechanical or Electrical), military
training or other equivalent experience required
1 to 2 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment,
instrumentation test is preferable
Ability to understand the basic operations in Microsoft Word and Excel
High visual acuity and manual dexterity. Ability to conduct equipment set up and
qualification on simple machinery as well as experience doing in-process visual
inspection
Ability to work safely with chemicals and gasses and maintain good
housekeeping standards
Experience working with and troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies and
printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Ability to work in a team environment
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus
Experience with IQS, Hertzler, and/or MAPICS a plus
