User Experience - UX Designer

Looking for an experienced and self-motivated User Experience Designer with impeccable application design and information architecture skills and attention to detail to create wireframes for web applications and other digital products and to define the information architecture of websites. Our client is known throughout the world as one of the most innovative and exhilarating Fashion Designers of all time. His efforts have had a major impact on the fashion world as we know it. His team is currently seeking an Assistant Technical Designer for Men's Sweaters.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist the Technical Design team with the fit approval process in accordance with sales samples and approval deadlines.
-Coordinate fitting schedule with the Design team and any other necessary cross-functional teams.
-Track arrival of all protos, samples and reference pieces.
-Measure fit garments from factories and ensure that evaluation sheets are prepared and reviewed with Design and Product Development teams prior to fitting.
-Record fit comments and relay information to Production, Merchandising and Vendors regarding all changes made during fittings.
-Document/track all updates, graded specs, sketches and photos.
-Maintain seasonal library of fit notes and fabric swatches.
-Communicate construction and fit comments to factories.

Description:
* Execute layouts and mechanicals for global digital media including advertising (site banners, emails, etc.), collateral, video, animations, etc.
* Take direction from the Production Directors to execute the Creative team's vision using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator CS 5.5 for Mac
* Assist in organization, manipulation, and re-touching of digital imagery, including:
o Maintaining consistency of image quality and coloration for images from multiple sources
o Being able to FTP images to and from vendors, and keeping these files ordered on server
* Quality control including images and proofreading

Requirements:
* BFA / BA in Design, Digital Design, Fine Art or related field
* 2-4 years experience in a digital advertising studio environment
* An understanding of basic design principles and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready, and Flash
* Experience working with or at a digital advertising agency, a plus
* The ability to code simple HTML is preferred
* Knowledge of eCommerce

This has a full-time, 40-hour or more per week work schedule.
