As a Medical Interpreter you will provide language services to limited english proficiency patients to help them communicate with doctors, nurses and other medical staff.
Medical interpreters work in the hospital and physician's offices clinics and will convey oral statements in an accurate and complete manner. Also, will translate written materials from source to target language in a precise way. Interpreters will effectively identify cultural differences as potential communication barriers that could interfere with the exchange of information between providers, patients and their families.
The interpreter should interpret in an accurate and complete manner; and should follow the Code of Ethics and the National Standards of Practice for Medical Interpreters. You must have an extended knowledge of specialty medical terminology and be able to perform independently in a fast pace environment.
Requirements: at least 1 year of medical interpretation experience and at least 40 hours of formal training as a medical interpreter from a recognized Medical Interpretation Program
This is a part time position. Must be able to work the hours of M-F between 8am-6pm. Also, flexibility to work night/weekends would be helpful.

Duties will include:

* Initiate correspondence with members regarding claims rejections and other benefit interpretation.
* Make outbound calls on prescriptions with hold orders and payment issues.
* May also assist in logging in of new prescription orders.
* Educates customers on benefits, use of plan, formulary, premiums and status of orders, claims or inquiries.

The positions that are available are very much a hybrid of many job duties. While having great customer service is always a first priority, we are also looking for someone who will be able to assist with inbound and outbound calls, enrollment, verification of information within multiple systems, and other duties as needed.

A flexible schedule is required. MUST be able to work any shift between the hours of 5am-11pm, OT, and occasional weekends and holidays.

This is a contract position that is scheduled to start in within the next couple weeks.

The Pay rate is $18/hr.
