The Patent Assistant will provide a high level of administrative support to at least three patent attorneys. Responsibilities include preparation and submission of patent related documents for the US Patent Office. Duties also include the typing, preparation, and proofing of general corporate agreements, general correspondence, and various forms and contracts. This position will also provide a high level of professional assistance in answering phones, preparing presentation materials, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars and making travel arrangements.

Skills:
***A minimum of 3 to 5 years in Patent experience in patent prosecution work***
Must have extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations relating to the filing and prosecution of patents, strong organizational, attention to detail, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently and collaboratively. Must be proactive, self-disciplined and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and custom patent preparation software. Must type 70 wpm.

Education:
