Summary Position Responsibilities: Performs technical/mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process. Must be familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and able to work with little or no supervision. Performs disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer¿s specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers¿ CMM guidelines and Goodrich operating procedures. Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned. Completes necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress. Performs final product preparation of units to be shipped
Basic Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to multitask. High School diploma or equivalent. US Citizenship or Green Card required Requires the ability to read and speak English and understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents. Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on. Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions. Responsibilities: * Performs visual, electrical, and mechanical inspection and testing of components, consumables and finished goods, in accordance with documented inspection plans, specifications and procedures. * Develops inspection procedures and prepares accurate documentation of inspection results; assists with investigations of nonconforming material. * Operates and maintains measurement equipment required to perform job duties, including routine maintenance, Gauge R&R studies, and calibration where required. * Compiles raw data and assists with statistical analysis. * Tracks quality metrics through charts and graphs and implements appropriate preventive/corrective action to improve product quality. * Identifies problems, and proposes resolutions that are timely, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements. * Assumes and performs other duties as assigned. * Keep control of product reception and shipment, discrepancy material reports and scrap.
Qualifications: * Able to effectively communicate issues in both written and verbal format. * Able to read and understand specifications and inspection criteria, and to apply criteria using appropriate and properly configured inspection tools. * Experience in product manufacturing and inspection in an ISO compliant environment. * Computer skilled in use of Microsoft word, excel and email. * Team work environment with organization, analysis and communication. * Understanding Spanish language is a plus.
