General Overview: Sets up and operates Fuji machines to produce roller bearing components to specifications.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

• Receives instructions and directions from Lead Manufacturing Associate and work assignments from Supervisor.
• Check and master all gauges (repeat every 4 hours)
• Sets up and operates Fuji machines to produce roller bearing components to specifications.
• Patrols assigned machines to see that they are functioning properly. Checks product for conformity to specifications using various measuring instruments, makes minor machine adjustments to overcome size deviations and logs machines accordingly.
• Changes or adjusts tooling when necessary.
• Notifies Supervisor or Lead Manufacturing Associate –in case of machine or equipment malfunction.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced in assigned production area.
• Performs various related assignments such as performing repair of the product, clearing jams and keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.

*As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) in MR Magnets, you will provide leadership, planning and technical support for the introduction of new processes for product development and existing manufacturing of superconducting magnets used in MRI scanners. You will design and develop the processes that produce new products, while initiating efforts to improve current product and process quality. AMEs are recognized as a key manufacturing technology leader in their area across the Global Supply Chain organization. You will interface with global counter-parts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities. Periodic domestic and international travel maybe required.

Key responsibilities include:

*Provide Test and Inspection leadership to product design, manufacturing process, and capital equipment development

*Design, develop, and implement testing and inspection in both product design and manufacturing processes to enable successful NPI launches to meet quality, capacity and cost objectives

*Collaborate with product engineering teams to drive design optimizations in material selection and application, while driving the highest possible levels of capability by implementing a quality control strategy

*Working with a global cross-functional team, develop proof-of-concept, demonstrate capability of, optimize, implement, validate and control manufacturing processes both within GE and supplier sites

*Process Design. Ownership of all aspects of designing and implementing capable manufacturing processes, regardless of GE or Supplier. Follow Six Sigma and LEAN principles to define critical requirements, design processes and/or lead design team to, define manufacturing specs, completing process qualification and demonstrate required capability.

*Program Execution. Lead, or directly perform, the execution of NPI milestone requirements.

*Project Leadership. The AME will deliver a "turnkey" manufacturing process to the Operations team and to transfer knowledge to the Manufacturing Engineer. In order to complete this, the AME-PL must be able to effectively lead cross-functional Engineering (MR, GRC) and GSC (AME, Sourcing, SQE, ME, etc.) team members. In addition, the AME-PL must provide technical leadership in the required discipline.

*Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.

*Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.

*Ensuring regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance

*Maintain full regulatory compliance with EHS, FDA, OSHA and other legal requirements.

*B.S. Degree in Testing/Inspection/Metrology Engineering or related technical degree and minimum 5 years of direct experience or Associates Degree in Testing/Inspection/Metrology Engineering or equivalent fields and minimum 7 years of direct experience.

*Demonstrated process development, troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills

*Strong Six Sigma skills. Minimum Green Belt, or equivalent, qualification

*Strong understanding of Manufacturing, QMS, and NPI

*Ability to work independently

Material Flow and Distribution
• Review production schedule to determine raw material needed for production run; ensure material is

speeds, pressures, temperatures, amounts, and flow of materials or ingredients according to standard
