Job Summary

Essential Duties

Establish local practices and procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and system reliability in compliance with ISO 9001: 2000, TS 16949:2002, OE Customer Specific Requirements, Corporate and Sector’s Central Quality policies, procedures and standards. 6. Manages the internal and external auditing program which includes but not limited to: - Plan and Schedule system, process and supplier audits - Training, evaluating and assigning qualified auditors - Perform systems, process and supplier audits as required - Assure that system, process and supplier audits are performed per schedule and per any internal requirement - Facilitates problem solving steps, root cause analysis, corrective actions and improvement to ensure compliance to the Quality Management System requirements. - Assure that follow up and verification audits are performed and completed as required 7. Maintain Quality Management System documentation: - Assure that revisions are controlled and issued in accordance with QMS Procedures - Assure that nonconformances are tracked, processed and reported - Liaison with all departments to facilitate implementation of QMS changes or improvements 8. Organize, promote, participate and contribute to companywide quality improvement efforts. Work independently and with project team members in the development of quality control deliverables, flowcharts, draft and final release of Quality Management System documentation. 9. To ensure the Quality Management System comply with ISO 9001:2000, TS 16949:2002, OE Customer Specific Requirements and act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to: - The Quality Management System surveillance and registration audits. - OE Customer facility certification and audits. 10. Manage the raw material and compound supplier quality development process by: - Review, investigate, and reach conclusion in resolving non-conforming material issues. - Use analytical and statistical tools to analyze data, make appropriate recommendations or decisions by using appropriate quality tools (SPC, MSA, Control Plans, FMEAs). 11. Represent the companywhen dealingwith all Pirelli stakeholders. 12. Identify and recommend best practices throughout the business and align people, processes, systems and resources to most effectively achieve business goals and objectives. 13. Facilitate teamwork while performing job related activities with other functioning departments and to ensure effective and timely communication. 14. Ensure full compliance with all corporate policies. 15. Maintain a safe working environment and high housekeeping standards. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

*An associates Degree in Quality Control Technology or Industrial Engineering is required or equivalent combination of education and training. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or Business is preferred.

*Three (3) years experience in an manufacturing environment

*Three year’s experience in audits of Quality Management System as a trained RABOSA- Certified ISO 9001:2002 Lead Auditor with AIAG ISO/TS 16949: Supplier Auditor Certification is preferred.

*Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

*Certified Six Sigma Black Belt

Working and applied technical knowledge in the following areas:

*ISO 9000 series international standards, Automotive Certification Scheme for ISO/TS 16949:2002 Rules for achieving IATF recognition, ISO/TS 16949 and OE Customer Specific Requirements and core tools- MSA, SPC, APQP, FMEA, and PPAP.

Relay Testing: Relay setting sheets are sent out and received back from GPC and our other contractors on a continuing basis. Each time that a relay is tested, it is recorded on the relay setting sheet and filed. Test values are checked for reasonableness and setting sheets re-issued accordingly. UF Tripping: A spreadsheet of UF relays and their settings is maintained by Operations. Each year these UF Trip locations and settings are re-evaluated for compliance with SERC and NERC requirements. SERC PCS Work Group: This is a standing subcommittee reporting to the EC of SERC. Meeting one or twice a quarter, this subcommittee is responsible for making recommendations to SERC for protection and control requirements necessary for compliance with NERC requirements. This includes relay system testing and maintenance, Disturbance Monitoring Equipment for fault and long term disturbance monitoring, Transmission Misoperations review and analysis, survey responses to NERC, etc. Assignments will be made at each meeting to be completed before the next meeting. MEAG has opted not to participate in actual compliance audits which is another function performed by members of this group. SCADA Standards Development: We have been working with ETS, Construction, and Operations to develop standards for SCADA Point development and resulting standard descriptions for monitoring and responding to alarms. Maintain Impedance Models: Update and maintain impedance models of the Cities and the ITS for fault current studies and setting determinations. This requires calculation of transmission line impedances, distribution line impedances, transformer impedances, etc. as needed for analysis of fault currents and setting parameters. Responsibilities for the Metrology Lab Technician include but are not limited to:

• Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in the electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental, and/or chemical disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement procedures.
• Perform corrective actions to address identified measurement problems.
• Adapt equipment, standards, and procedures to accomplish unique measurements.
• Maintain calibration standards.
• Perform laboratory and/or departmental housekeeping.

Metrology Lab Technician qualifications are:

• Minimum High School diploma or GED (a copy is required)
• Metallurgical experience, or experience working in a Metrology Lab is REQUIRED
• Demonstrated job longevity - NO job hoppers!!
• Ability to work 7 days/week as required
• Must be able to read, write speak, and understand instructions given in English and have the ability to communicate to others both verbally and by writing effectively

Positions are available on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am). You must be available for any and all overtime. Pay for this position will be determined via interview.
