Required Experience/Qualifications:

¿ Ability to work the required days and hours without any absences or vacation time in order to attend mandatory training
¿ Intermediate ability in computer skills 2007 Word, Excel, and Outlook ¿
¿ A minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers in an call center environment

With Caremark Specialty Pharmacy Services, we help individuals by selecting a personalized, pharmacist-led Care Team, who proactively review dosing and medicine schedules, troubleshoot injection-related issues, discuss side effect management, and reinforce doctor instructions to ensure the individuals prescribed medicine is administered appropriately. The medicines, which include primarily injectable and infused drugs, along with ancillary medical supplies, are delivered via express courier from Caremark's national network of JCAHO-accredited pharmacies to patients in all 50 states. As part of our Specialty Pharmacy Service offering, when Physicians refer plan participants, it is Caremark’s Specialty Customer Service Representative who, in a call center environment, is responsible for answering questions from program hotlines about complex specialty prescriptions.

Duties

This role focuses on answering incoming calls from a 1-800 line in a fast-paced call center environment with a warm and professional greeting and accurately gathering relevant information for the benefits investigation process. Additionally, the role includes * Managing follow-up with sending receipt acknowledgements to physician referrals. * Maintains and builds relationships with key treatment centers and referral sources. * Perform various types of telemarketing activities in an effort to retain old or gain new business. * Perform outbound call projects for client implementations to ensure smooth transition for customers already on therapy. * When needed, will assist in enrolling patients, keying information into our system, including diagnosis, demographics, payroll info, etc. * This position must be able to collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and identify and solve problems. * This position must comply with the business principals, ethical standards, legal obligations and policy as outlined in Caremark's Compliance and Ethics program to protect patient information.
