This position supports the Internal/External Communications and Corporate Responsibility functions and reports directly to the GM, Communications & Corp Responsibility for Flat Carbon Americas. Immediate Responsibilities:

Corporate Responsibility:
• Monitor and process hardcopy and electronic mail for all incoming USA Foundation/Corporate Responsibility grant requests
• Support communications re: grant requests for CR/Foundation department, i.e. send notifications of approval and declinations, distribute guidelines and applications to nonprofit organizations
• Manage and input data in Microedge GIFTS database; responsible for grant administration and generating reports on both local and global levels; monitor budget tracking and reporting
• Request grant checks through Accounts Payable and distribute to local CR managers
• Manage the Chicago office’s Council for Stronger Communities, which makes decisions on local grant making and volunteer engagement
• Support planning and execution of volunteer events and other initiatives surrounding national grantee partnerships

Internal Communications:
• Develop 2-3 articles in each issue of USA 1 employee newsletter distributed bi-monthly

External Communications:
