In this job, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the relationships between the manufacturing plants and the customers' plants. Key accountabilities include:


*Supporting and executing of the annual divisional quality targets established for the plants (concerns & PPM)

*Establishing and developing relationships with key personnel at customers? plants.

*Maintaining customer satisfaction through specific support visits with AQE's & Quality Engineers (as required) to assist with quality concerns as well as proactive CSM visits to maintain and improve customer relationships

*Managing plant quality system to include coordination and execution of the Concern Management Process (inc. lead responsibility for complex problem solving where necessary)

*Train and develop Quality Engineers to ensure a culture of Continuous Improvement (C.I.) within the plant Quality Department

*Develop and implement new site-specific Level III & Level IV procedures to continuously improve plant QOS

*Responsible for implementation of necessary resource & training within the plant QA area to support plant QOS, Manufacturing Engineering and Customers

*Provides technical assistance & support to Advanced Quality & Program Launch Managers for Stage 'C' new programs

*Ensures establishment of and compliance to Procedure Maintenance & plant Quality Operating System (QOS)

*Maintains Customer satisfaction with company's quality through regular Auditing of plant activities & execution of identified Continuous Improvement (C.I.) projects

*Confers with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to assist with resolution of any internal or external quality concerns (inc. scrap, suspect material, non-conforming material requiring deviation, etc.)

*Coordinate and lead periodic training sessions to keep personnel updated on current & new procedures, methods, tools, use of equipment and other quality assurance techniques

*Ensures the maintenance, updating & compliance to specific requirements necessary to support the business model (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 14000, Customer-specific requirements, etc.)

*Functions as part of the Plant Leadership Team


You will have:


*B.S. Degree(Engineering or related preferred) with experience being the voice of the customer.

*Ability to travel required (mostly local - regional)

*7-10 years experience in Quality Assurance in a Tier One automotive high volume manufacturing environment with at least 4 years in supervision.

*ASQC Certified Quality Engineer strongly desired.

*Experience in a TS16949, ISO9000 or QS9000 environment is preferred.

*Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and listening skills

*Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully not only with the clients, but with all levels of plant employees

*Desire to solve problems on the production floor and not work from behind a desk all day

*Lean Enterprise experience.

*Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, MfgPro, Kronos).

One will be focused on supplier development & continuous improvement of stamped parts and springs while the other will be focused on steel machining and forging. This person will be expected to travel approx 50% primarily within the US, Canada and Mexico.

Responsibilities:


*Supplier Development

*Process audit to evaluate the capability and the production capacity of the supplier

*Support Purchasing and R&D for the validation and introduction of new supplier according to quality, timing and cost requirements







*Continuous improvement

*Definition of supplier quality targets

*Responsible for developing an improvement action plan, executing and follow up

Qualifications:
