Function:
This position is responsible for welding various metals to production standards.

Typical Duties:
- Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or welding positions.
-Maintain materials, equipment and the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
-Plan and perform diverse hand and machine welding and associated metal joining and processing operations to fabricate experimental or repair parts. Tools and other special equipment required for engine development or overhaul programs.
-Work from drawings, sketches, schedules and verbal instructions to select suitable welding equipment, holding devices, attachments and help tools required for joining process and make required settings to equipment, gas flows and other parameters to obtain quality welds.
-Prepare parts for welding, align and secure details, program computer controlled welding equipment, make up chill bars and shields. Determine sequence of operation and activate machine-welding cycle or manipulate hand-welding torch to complete welding cycle. Use portable welding equipment as required throughout assigned area.
-Read and interpret X-ray film or utilize black light process to determine extent of repairs required, build up finished machined surfaces and repair cracks and other imperfections.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
-Must have a minimum of 3 years TIG experience working with various metals.
-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Must comprehend blue prints.
-Must be a team player and support work capacity within a fast paced work environment.

Ensure timely and accurate coordination with the TCC, Engineering Teams, Telecom Services Procurement, ATM Support, Security and ITCD Regional teams to maintain seamless continued support. Own and ensure the ITDS database is current and up to date until such a time as it is converted to CI. Participate in and support of conversions for new mergers, acquisitions, and projects involving ITCD. Will work closely with the WDC involving equipment orders. Provide Cut Direction / Issues coordination on projects affecting the network. Will be responsible to track and resolve conversion issues timely, by involving Telco carriers, vendors and other IT teams. This is a long-term contract opportunity. Responsibilities Assume overall responsibility for any incident tickets coming into the queue. Research the incident fully, reviewing various documents and databases. Access the router and switches to further investigate the ticket prior to dispatch. All attempts will be made to limit dispatches with minimal impact to customer service. If dispatch is required, you will use CompuCom under the Smart Hands contract, where applicable, to provide initial problem determination/resolution. Dispatch regional ITCD analysts when the issue involves equipment or circumstances which are beyond the knowledge of CompuCom. Notification will be sent to the District Manager, the Regional Manager, and ITCD Network Support copied. Arrange any vendor meets required for ATM access and work closely with the field team to resolve the issue. Incidents are to be updated throughout the process and closed with details after the problem has been resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. Order replacement parts for Analysts through the Cisco’s TAC process. ITCDNS documents RMA and shipments with the Analyst. The ITCDNS database for ticket tracking will be updated with all pertinent information. Reports are generated monthly or as requested. For tickets involving circuits and numbers owned by Verizon or the local LEC, ITCDNS will work closely with Telecom Services Procurement Group, Voice and Network Production Engineering, and TCC. Participate on daily incident calls. Provide Cut Direction / Issues coordination on projects affecting the network. This may require after hours and weekend participation.
