Adecco Staffing has several openings for Picker/Packer positions in NE Portland. These positions are temporary and have a duration of six months. All interested candidates should keep in mind that they will have to go through Adecco's hiring process and will have to clear drug screens and criminal backgrounds before starting work.

Another important requirement is to have a High School Diploma or GED (we'll ask for graduation year, school name and location and a company will verify this information with the high school).

The job duties for the positions are as follows:

1. Outbound Duties

1.1: Picking
- Select, lift, and move parts that vary in size and weigh up to 50 pounds from various height locations, floor level and up, on a repetitive basis.
- Operate mobile equipment and obtain parts at higher level racking locations requiring normal depth perception, agility and balance.

1.2: Packing
- Select appropriate packaging material to transport product to customer
- Print labels and affix to packages
- Use bar code scanning device and Loading Small Parcel Carriers using mobile equipment

1.3: Housekeeping (Utility)
- Sweeping
- Moving boxes and pallets to appropriate area
- Maintain cleanliness of work area

2. Inbound Duties

2.1: Breakout
- Sort product of various size and weight amounts and stage for proper warehouse put away
- Confirm accuracy of received materials
- Verify quality and quantity of parts received

2.2: Put-a-way
- Verify proper location for put-a-way
- Replenish parts in bin and rack areas throughout warehouse
- Lift and move parts that vary in size and weigh up to 50 pounds from various height locations, floor level and up, on a repetitive basis

Keep in mind that just like most warehouse positions, you'll be required to stand or/and walk for long periods of time, bend, squat, stoop or kneel. Physical capabilities are very important for this position, so please consider this before applying.
