Fiberglass 1st and 2nd shift | manufacturing jobs
Adecco is looking for qualified, hard working individuals for work in the Fiberglass department for a Major Manufacturer of furniture in Fond du Lac. We have openings on first or second shift. They are very busy and overtime may be required- 10/11/12 hour days 5 days / week.
Pay for this position is $11.00 / hour for First shift and $12.00 / hour for Second shift
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Fiberglass Supervisor, the Fiberglass Associate produces and finishes fiberglass seating and tables, ensuring the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Gelcoat molds, and chop and roll out fiberglass according to procedures. Trim and sand all parts as needed. Ensure the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Pull parts and prepare molds for gelcoating.
Ensure the proper labeling of all products.
Take down and set up spray and chop booths.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma, no experience required at this level, this level requires supervision from a supervisor or a lead individual.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, customer specifications, safety rules, and operating instructions. Ability to prepare standard documentation. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools, pressure pots and spray equipment, chopper gun, utility knife, sanders, saws, buffer and trimmers.
